Manga and Music

It has always been my impression, that listening to the right music can vastly increase a reading experience.

The very best books for me are those I can totally lose myself in. Where their world becomes real when I read them. I can get into this state of mind much more easily when listening to music at the same time.

It usually takes a while for me to find the "right" music for a book, but when I do, I will, from that moment on, always think of the story whenever I hear the music.

Here is a list of music I think fits very well to particular manga stories:

Manga Title Manga Artist Music Artist Music Title
Appleseed Masamune Shirow Ryuichi Sakamoto The Last Emperor
Battle Angel Alita (Gunnm) Yukito Kishiro Metallica S&M
Dragon Ball Akira Toriyama Chris de Burgh Crusader
Magic Knight Rayearth Clamp The Cranberries Bury The Hatchet
Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind Hayao Miyazaki 10 000 Maniacs Blind Man's Zoo
Outlanders Johji Manabe Tracy Chapman Crossroads
3x3 Eyes Yuzo Takada Soundtrack 3x3 Eyes
Video Girl Ai Masakazu Katsura Mietta Volano Le Pagine
Wish Clamp The Cranberries To The Faithful Departed
